Originally released in 2002 and based upon the best-selling book “We Were Soldiers Once … and Young” by Lt. Gen. Harold G. Moore (Ret.) and journalist Joseph L. Galloway, this compelling war drama depicts the story of the first major battle between the United States and North Vietnamese forces.

Open-Late Film Series screenings are “pay what you wish,” which means admission comes at whatever cost you’re willing and able to pay. Refreshments will be available for sale, and the History Center will close to the public at the conclusion of the film screening.
